Balaji Sakthivel is back from hibernation mode. The ‘Kadhal’ and ‘Kalloori’ director is now busy giving finishing touches to ‘Vazhakku Enn 18/9’, which according to him is a ‘teenage thriller’.

Produced by Lingusamy’s Tirupathi Brothers, the film has newcomers playing the lead roles. “It will talk about the present day’s city youth, their style of falling and being in love and the troubles they face.”

On the protagonists, he says, “While the male leads, Mithun and Sri, are from Kerala and Chennai respectively, one of the lead actresses Urmila is a student of the Pune film institute. The other girl, Manisha, is from Bangalore.”

One of the highlights of ‘Vazhakku Enn 18/9’ is going to be cinematographer Vijay Milton’s attempt to shoot the movie with a hi-definition still camera. Music will be scored by guitarist Prasanna.
